Installation of the air-oil mist lubricator
Release time:

During installation, the air-oil mist generator should generally be positioned after the water separator and filter and before the directional control valve, to prevent moisture from entering the oil cup and causing the oil to emulsify. This also helps avoid contamination of the relief port in the pressure-reducing valve by oil mist and protects rubber components from the effects of oil mist. The air-oil mist generator should be installed as close as possible to the lubrication point; for standard air-oil mist generators, the typical maximum distance is no more than 5 meters, while micro-mist type air-oil mist generators can deliver oil mist over distances of up to 8 to 10 meters.
During installation, the air-oil mist generator should generally be positioned after the water separator and before the pressure-reducing valve, so as to prevent moisture from entering the oil cup and causing the oil to emulsify. This also helps avoid contamination of the overflow port in the pressure-reducing valve by oil mist and protects rubber components from being affected by oil mist. The air-oil mist generator should be installed as close as possible to the lubrication point. For standard air-oil mist generators, the typical maximum distance is no more than 5 meters; for micro-mist type air-oil mist generators, the maximum delivery distance can reach 8 to 10 meters.
During installation, the inlet and outlet must not be connected in reverse. The unit should be installed vertically and positioned as high as possible above the lubrication point—ideally at a location higher than the lubrication point itself. It is important to maintain the oil level within the normal range; the level should neither be too high nor too low. Select a clean lubricating oil that has minimal impact on the deformation hardening and softening of synthetic rubber sealing materials. The oil’s viscosity should neither be too high nor too low; ISO VG 32 is recommended, meaning an oil viscosity of approximately 32 mm²/s, to avoid difficulties in oil suction or excessive oil consumption. The oil drip rate should be adjusted according to operating conditions, generally taking as a reference 1 cm³ of lubricating oil supplied per 10 m³ (ANR) of air.
The oil cup, inspection cover, and oil-drip tube are made of PC material and should not be used in environments containing organic solvents. They should also be protected from direct sunlight.
Air-oil misters should not be installed in areas that do not require oil supply. To prevent reverse air flow during shutdown, which could cause oil mist to enter circuits that do not require oil supply, a check valve can be installed upstream of the air-oil misters.
When the air-oil mist lubricator is in operation, oiling can still be performed. During oiling, the injected oil and compressed air cause the one-way valve for air to close, thereby cutting off the gas passage to the upper chamber. Since gas cannot enter the upper chamber, the one-way valve for oil also remains closed due to the reduced pressure in the upper chamber, preventing gas from entering the upper chamber through the oil suction pipe. Consequently, oil can be added to the air-oil mist lubricator via the oil plug without interrupting the air supply.
