One. Overview
The three-position four-way rotary valve is mainly composed of rotating shaft, handle, positioning plate, cylindrical pin, valve cover, one-way thrust ball bearing, valve core, retaining ring, valve seat, O-ring, wave spring, valve body, steel ball, Spring and other parts. It is one of the main hydraulic components in the ground blowout preventer control device. The high-pressure oil in the accumulator enters each control object through this valve, and at the same time, the opening or closing action of the BOP is realized through the reversing of this valve.
II. structure and characteristics
Three-position four-way rotary valve has the following characteristics:
Valve core and valve seat seal using differential pressure seal, so the higher the oil pressure, the better the gas sealing performance, the more reliable the seal, the wave spring is the sealing effect of the first-level valve seat after wear.
Equipped with thrust bearing, the rotating torque of 34ZS21-25 rotary valve is small and not more than 30N.m; the rotating torque of 34ZS21-40 rotary valve is not more than 70 N.m.
The top of the valve cover is a positioning plate. When the handle rotates, the steel ball enters one of the holes of the positioning plate under the action of the spring, and a cylindrical pin slides in the waist-shaped groove on the positioning plate to play a limiting role. Therefore, when the valve is reversed, the handle is in place accurately, and the reversal and reset are more reliable.

Four. Working principle
The three-position four-way rotary valve has four oil ports, of which port P is the pressure oil inlet, ports A and B are the pressure oil outlets, connected to the two chambers of the BOP cylinder, and port T is the oil return port, communicating with the E-mail.
Valve in the reversing handle can have three positions: neutral (handle in the middle), closed (handle turn right 45 °),
Open position (turn the handle to the left by 45 °).

Median-P, A, B, T four oil ports do not communicate with each other, at this time is the "O" type function.
Close position-port p communicates with port B, port a communicates with port t. At this time, the pressure oil passes through port B to "off"
In the oil chamber of the BOP, the pressure oil pushes the piston of the oil cylinder to close the BOP. At the same time, the oil on the other side of the oil cavity
Then it flows back to the oil tank through port A of the valve.
Open position-port p communicates with port a, port B communicates with port t. At this time, the pressure oil passes through port A to the oil chamber of the "open" BOP, and the pressure oil pushes the piston of the oil cylinder to open the BOP. At the same time, the oil on the other side of the oil chamber flows back to the oil tank through the B port of the valve.
During normal drilling, the handle of the three-position four-way rotary valve that controls the ram BOP and the annular BOP must be in the "open" position, while the handle of the three-position four-way rotary valve that controls the hydraulic BOP must be in the "closed" position. On the contrary, when the blowout occurs, the handle position of the above valves is opposite, the former is in the "off" position, the latter is in the "open" position.
The "middle" position of the rotary valve is usually not used, but the handle of the valve should be in the "middle" position when debugging or overhauling the equipment and during transportation to avoid hydraulic oil leakage.
