I. Characteristics
A single-acting cylinder with a diameter of φ100 and a stroke of 120, used as the brake cylinder for the winch drum. The dimensions 100*120 refer to the cylinder’s diameter and stroke, respectively.
The QF524 brake cylinder is a piston-type cylinder designed for live-action use. It consists of components such as an upper cover, cylinder body, piston, anti-impact head, flange, spring, connecting rod, and others. When compressed air is supplied, it pushes the piston, compresses the spring, and sets the piston and connecting rod in motion. Since the brake cylinder requires the brake connecting rod to rotate through an angle during braking, the connection between the piston and the connecting rod is not rigid but features a spherical contact surface, allowing the connecting rod to swing around this spherical surface. When no compressed air is supplied, the piston returns to its original position under the action of the spring.
Due to its special characteristics, the QF524 brake cylinder is typically used only on oil drilling rigs and geological exploration drilling rigs.
