The QF524 brake pneumatic cylinder is a piston-type cylinder that operates with compressed air. It consists of components such as an upper cover, cylinder barrel, piston, buffer stop, flange, spring, and connecting rod. When compressed air is supplied, it pushes the piston, compressing the spring and causing the piston and connecting rod to move. During braking, the brake connecting rod must rotate through a certain angle; therefore, the connection between the piston and the connecting rod is not rigid but features spherical contact, allowing the connecting rod to oscillate about the spherical surface. When no compressed air is supplied, the piston returns to its original position under the action of the spring.
Due to its specialized nature, the QF524 brake air cylinder is typically used only in oil drilling rigs and geological exploration drilling rigs.
